We´re still here

This is just a brief note. I will write more news very soon. Abraham and I continue to minister in Huejotzingo. The school has grown since last I wrote, although the students are still inconsistent in their attendance. However, we usually have ten children and teens, including our own two children. School begins at 11, with breakfast for those who haven´t eaten. As they eat, they pass to read aloud with Abraham and I, since none of them came to our school knowing how to read. After reading, we have a short time to draw a word of the day, then either Abraham or I reads a book aloud to the group. Math follows, then recess. A local family normally joins our school group for English class after recess, then school ends, usually at around 3. We drive the children to their homes. We have school Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Every Thursday we also have a special art and culture class where I prepare and present information about a country in the world and then the students make an art project related to that country. Occasionally, others join us for that class.

Every other Saturday we host a get-together at the school for youth. Abraham teaches from the Bible and then the youth write or draw a response to the message. Following that, we do a game, and then there is snack.
